How it all started…

When I started the idea of this platform “My Vagina Speaks”. I had one foot in freeing myself and connecting with the beauty of what it means to be a woman and one foot in the obligation of what society, culture and religion had defined for me. My authenticity and ability to truly be honest and vulnerable were filtered by thoughts such as.

“What will they think?”. “Remember you’re a mother and a wife”. “You are an African woman what would your aunties say or your peers?”

Today my thoughts say, your story is also my story. Our experiences may be different but somehow, we are entwined. I can relate or empathize or empower.

She is me and I her”.

Welcome to “My Vagina Speaks”, where our voices and our truth can be empowered by our experiences and not defined by a world we did not create by choice. -

About My Vagina Speaks

& her founder, Niya Balimuttajjo

Atlanta, Georgia | Writer | Speaker | Founder of My Vagina Speaks

Niya Balimuttajjo is a woman of many words and even more depth. As a writer, speaker, and fierce advocate for the female voice, she has made it her mission to transform silence into power. She believes that words have the power to shape destinies, and through her storytelling, she helps women embrace their truths, rewrite their narratives, and stand unapologetically in their power.

Raised in the UK with African heritage and now living in the United States, Niya’s life experiences are as diverse as the voices she amplifies. From love and loss to motherhood, identity, and success in a man’s world, she has walked the many paths of womanhood. This journey inspired My Vagina Speaks—a movement dedicated to breaking taboos, reclaiming narratives, and giving voice to the untold stories of women everywhere.

Everyone loves a good vagina, but no one wants to hear the tales it has to tell.

Through My Vagina Speaks, Niya creates space for fearless conversations, tackling everything from sexual liberation and cultural expectations to healing, empowerment, and self-discovery. Her platform is more than a brand—it’s a movement.

A call to every woman who has ever felt unheard.
